1. When this policy applies
This policy provides general information about cancellations, rescheduling and refund requests for professional dance performance engagements discussed through AURELLE STAGE, operated under the name Geraldine Dance. It does not create an automatic cancellation charge or a fixed non-refundable deposit.
A client’s specific rights and obligations are established in the accepted booking agreement together with applicable consumer protection law. Where mandatory law provides greater protection than an agreement, the applicable legal requirement prevails.
2. Before a booking is confirmed
Sending a website enquiry or discussing preliminary availability does not itself constitute a confirmed paid booking. A proposed engagement should identify the event date, location, scope of services, payment schedule and any cancellation or postponement conditions before acceptance.
Clients should review these provisions carefully and request clarification of any estimated external expenses or committed rehearsal and production costs before agreeing to the engagement.
3. Cancellation by the client
If a client wishes to cancel an accepted booking, written notice should be sent as soon as possible to [email protected], identifying the event and requested change. Applicable cancellation amounts, if any, depend on the written contract, stage of preparations, recoverable expenses and relevant law.
There is no single public cancellation fee or universally applicable refundable percentage across all performance types. Any sums retained must have an appropriate contractual and legal basis, and refund eligibility is reviewed against the specific arrangements.
4. Requests to reschedule
A client who needs to change the date should contact the team promptly. Rescheduling depends on the availability of performers, venue requirements, production arrangements and agreement between the parties.
An alternative date may require a revised scope or a review of costs already incurred. No rescheduled performance is treated as confirmed until the changes are agreed in writing.
5. Cancellation or substantial changes by the provider
If an accepted engagement cannot proceed as agreed for reasons attributable to the service provider, the parties should discuss an appropriate remedy, which may include an alternative arrangement or a refund where required by the contract or applicable law.
A proposed substitute cast, schedule, format or material change should be communicated and agreed rather than assumed to be acceptable without discussion.
6. Unavoidable disruptions
Weather emergencies, venue closures, travel restrictions and other events beyond reasonable control may affect delivery. The applicable agreement and law determine whether the event may be postponed, what reasonable mitigation is expected and which costs remain payable.
A force-majeure event does not automatically establish that every payment is non-refundable. Rights are assessed according to the facts, the contract and mandatory law.
7. Requesting and processing a refund
Refund and cancellation enquiries can be raised using [email protected] or +16136956228. Include the booking name, event date and a brief explanation of the request; do not send full card details or unnecessary sensitive information.
Where a refund is due, its amount, method and processing arrangements should be communicated directly in connection with the relevant booking and the original method of payment when practicable. Any statutory remedies remain available.
8. Questions and revisions
If a contract term appears unclear or inconsistent with this page, request written clarification before accepting the booking. This policy may change for future engagements, but an update does not retrospectively replace agreed terms or mandatory rights.
