1. Scope
These Terms & Conditions relate to the AURELLE STAGE website operated under the name Geraldine Dance and to preliminary discussions of professional dance entertainment in Canada. Browsing the website or submitting an enquiry does not, by itself, create a performance booking or oblige either party to proceed.
Any confirmed engagement is subject to an agreed written proposal, service agreement or booking confirmation, which may contain additional or different provisions. In the event of inconsistency, the expressly agreed contract will govern the services concerned, subject to mandatory law.
2. Performance descriptions and availability
The website describes performance categories, including ballroom, Latin, contemporary and wedding dance entertainment, to help prospective clients consider a suitable format. Descriptions and photographs communicate artistic direction and should not be interpreted as a promise of a specific cast, venue design, costume, musical work or event result.
Availability depends on date, location, requested scope and the availability of appropriate performers and production resources. Changes may be discussed where necessary before an engagement is finalized.
3. Enquiry and agreement process
Prospective clients may provide event details for discussion. A proposed scope may address performance style, number of performers, duration, rehearsal and travel arrangements, venue responsibilities, production elements, fees and payment timing.
A booking is not confirmed until the applicable parties have accepted the written agreement or confirmation required for that engagement. Any requested changes after confirmation should be documented and assessed for schedule, availability and cost implications.
4. Pricing, payments and tax
No fixed public package price applies to every event. Estimates or quotations, when provided, are based on the brief and the agreed inclusions. Taxes, travel, accommodation, venue facilities and third-party production costs, where applicable, should be identified in the relevant proposal.
Payment amounts, due dates, methods and any deposits are determined in the engagement documents. No payment should be inferred as due merely because a visitor has used the enquiry form.
5. Client and venue responsibilities
The client should provide accurate event information, suitable venue access and timely details of floor surface, capacity, electrical facilities, sound, lighting and any applicable safety or site rules. Responsibilities for permissions, licences, insurance and event-specific compliance should be allocated in the agreement.
Performers and personnel must be given conditions suitable for the agreed work. Material changes in venue, schedule or access may require an updated technical or operational assessment.
6. Changes, cancellation and refund
Cancellation or postponement terms are explained on the separate Refund & Cancellation Policy page and should also be specified in the relevant booking documents. Any applicable non-refundable costs must be disclosed in the agreed terms and assessed under mandatory consumer law.
If unexpected circumstances require adjustments, the parties should communicate promptly to explore reasonable available options.
7. Intellectual property and media
Website text, branding and original creative material are subject to applicable intellectual property rights. A performance booking does not automatically transfer choreography, music, photographs, video recordings or other underlying rights.
Filming, photography, public distribution and commercial use of performance media should be agreed with the relevant rights holders and performers, as applicable.
8. Liability and events beyond control
Each party remains responsible for obligations imposed by applicable law and for duties expressly undertaken by contract. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
Events outside reasonable control, including venue closure, travel disruption, public safety restrictions or severe weather, may affect performance arrangements. The governing agreement should address notice, mitigation, rescheduling and any related financial consequences.
9. Governing law and contact
Applicable laws and any governing-law provision agreed for an engagement will determine contractual rights and dispute resolution. Mandatory protections that apply to a consumer are not displaced by a general website statement.
